Experience the majesty of the Andes mountains from the terrace of our penthouse in Pereira, the heart of Colombia's coffee country!
The penthouse has a unique style & flow and the views are just incredible. See a video here...
In the coffee country, you can hike in natural parks, visit charming small towns, tour coffee plantations, and soak in hot springs — and Pereira is central to all of them.
We are located in a friendly three-tower community in the exclusive Los Alamos neighborhood. Walk to restaurants, shops, parks, and the university. Ubers and taxis are always available, and the central bus terminal is nearby too, where you’ll find the MetroCable gondola line that takes you through the air across town.
The tower is next to a protected open space, which brings all kinds of birds to visit us. We wake up to birdsong as well as the sounds of the city. The tropical highland climate alternates rain and sun every day, and mountain breezes help to keep things fresh.
The apartment has three floors, each about 900 sq ft:
The first floor has a full kitchen, laundry, and a half-bath. The open-plan social area includes a 75” smart TV and a dining table for 8. Pluses are a large balcony with outdoor dining for 6 and a comfortable private office with a daybed. Work wired or on wifi connected to symmetrical fiberoptic internet at gigabit speed.
On the second floor, you’ll find four spacious bedrooms and three full baths (two bedrooms are ensuite) and a cozy balcony for viewing the open space preserve and the active volcano Nevado de Ruiz.
The third floor is a huge tiled terrace with lounge chairs, umbrella, and outdoor shower. You can look in all directions to take in both the sunrise and the sunset.
We would love to have you stay with us!

We’re Mark Baum and Alejandro Ochoa, your hosts at Alejo’s Hideways.
Mark trained as an actor and a musician and toured the US in the 90s. These days, he works as a lead application developer and performs South American music on the side (www.markbaummusic.com).
Alejandro studied to be a lawyer in Colombia. After moving to the United States, he worked with homeless families for over twenty years. Now he has a thriving bodywork practice.
It’s been Alejandro’s dream to offer places to stay in some of his favorite cities in the world, communities that are famous for not only for being gay-friendly but welcoming to everyone. That's our goal: to make you feel welcome and at home.
